This is my go to spot in Rochester. Happy hour is great. The standout menu item is the pan roast, which is served with a generous portion of shrimp, lobster, scallops in a tomato base sauce with rice pilaf and a big chunk of cheesy bread. It’s lit. I’ve had good success with their specials as well on multiple occasions. Service is usually good. Does get crowded with long waits as it’s a small spot, but I’ve always felt it was worth the wait!

Excellent restaurant. We love its ambiance, staff, and food selection. When it comes to oysters and seafood in general, this is one of the best options in the area.

LOVE this place. I wish I could give it 5 stars. It's our go to for dinner and drinks in the winter, especially (only downside is no outdoor seating). The food has remained delicious in the 10 years I've been coming. Service is always good. The negatives and lack of the 5th star is the crazy-long wait for tables, the refusal to seat you 'unless your whole party is there' when you have reservations (which is ridiculous, by the way - hey, people get stuck in traffic, the 6th party in your reservation for 6 could get sick at the last minute, etc.) I'm sure nobody is reserving a table for 6 and only planning on having 3 show up....

Food was delicious! It took over 1.5 hrs to get seated with no real space to stand. Luckily, I was in a good mood, so the wait didn't bother me much. The restaurant needs more tables for bigger parties. Picture shows the perch and mashed potatoes.

Stopped by just for half shelled. Pleasantly satisfied on Thanksgiving Eve with Nice selection of catch points. Ate my fare and smiled a LOT! Bar was 100% full at 3pm, so I had a rail 2-topper. Staff welcomed me nicely.

Kabin Krusers is one of my favorite spots - the ambience, food, and overall atmosphere is what brought me in today to celebrate a birthday with a group of 8 people. Upon arrival, we were greeted in a way that I considered to be quite uninviting. I gave my last name for the reservation and the hostess, Kayla, informed me that she had no table for us. I asked her to please double check the reservation and it appeared that Kayla did not want to be bothered with us in the least. After finding out that I made a mistake with the location of our reservation I left Kabin Krusers with a bad taste in my mouth - not the same ambiance and atmosphere I once used to know.

Would absolutely recommend eating here. Fantastic ambience, tasty food, great customer service. Highly recommended.

There aren't a lot of nice, casual places to grab a drink in downtown Rochester, but Kabin Krusers is one of them. I have noticed that it isn't as lively as it once was, especially at 9-10pm.

Pros: Stuffed mushrooms and fried oyster dinner (12 pieces) are 10/10 would recommend. Everything had so much flavor and it was delicious. They also had mouthwash in the bathroom which was nice.Cons: James Beard clam chowder tasted good, but I don't think the bacon should be in it. Service was also slow.
